Check Out Our Trout in the Classroom (TIC) Program | The 200 trout eggs have arrived! The 4th - 6th grade Science Classes are getting to raise trout through the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) Program. The TIC is a National program aiming to connect students to their watershed. This program started on the East coast in 1991. Specifically, the NEBRASKA Trout in the Classroom started as a pilot in 2013. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Supporters of this program: Nebraska Environmental Trust, Trout Unlimited, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to our local supporter of the Morrill Foundation for awarding us a classroom grant to purchase an aquarium stand.

Parent's Perspective Meetings - Please Join Us | Our Superintendent, Mr. Chessmore, and Mrs. Lackey will be hosting 3 parent gatherings this coming week. If you were previously unable to attend on your designated night, please choose the night that works best for you and join us so we can hear your thoughts on school improvement! Please RSVP by contacting the elementary office at (308) 247-2176 if you would like to attend on any of the following nights: January 27th, 28th, or 29th. The meetings will be held at the Morrill Elementary Library from 6:00-7:00 pm. Thank you!

We will have a late start at 10:00 am on Monday, January 20. Buses will run accordingly.
Monday's PAC games have been moved to Wednesday. Times remain the same.
Jan. 2025 Parent's Perspective Meetings | We are inviting all elementary parents/guardians to attend a grade-level meeting in the month of January. School administrators would like to hear your feedback as we work to improve our school. The grade-level meetings are scheduled as follows: KDG - January 15th | 1st - January 16th
| 2nd - January 22nd | 3rd - January 23rd | 4th - January 27th | 5th - January 28th |
6th - January 29th. These meetings will be held at the Morrill Elementary Cafeteria from 6:00-7:00 pm. We will provide pizza and childcare as well. Each grade level will receive an invite to their designated parent meeting approximately 3 days before their scheduled date. We ask that parents RSVP by completing the bottom portion of their invite and then returning it to the school so we can plan accordingly for food and childcare. Please come out and share your voice in order to help shape our school. Thank you!
Elementary PTO Meeting & Annual Title 1 Review Meeting - Jan. 13th | Please join us on January 13th for our monthly PTO meeting as well as our annual Title 1 Review meeting. All are welcome to attend, thanks!
There will be no JV girls basketball this Friday 1/10/25 @ Hyannis. Boys JV basketball will start @ 4 pm. GO LIONS!
2025 Mega-Hockey Tournament (Grades 4th-6th) | On Friday, January 10th, 4th-6th grade students will play Mega-Hockey in the elementary gym from 9:00-10:30 am! Who will be the 2025 Champs?! Families are welcome to stop in and watch a game!
