Lion Cub Preschool & Kindergarten Round-Up - March 5, 2026
We are inviting all parents/guardians and the student being registered to join us for Lion Cub Preschool and Kindergarten Round-Up on March 5th from 5:30-6:30 pm at Morrill Elementary School. The age requirements for Lion Cub Preschool and Kindergarten enrollment are as follows:
*PK - 3, 4, or 5 yrs. by July 31, 2026 (Cannot be age 6 by Dec. 31, 2026)
*KDG - 5 yrs. old by July 31, 2026
Registration paperwork can be accessed and/or completed online at www.mpslions.org, or a packet can be picked up from the elementary office. Thank you!

The Morrill Public Schools Board of Education will be holding a special meeting on Monday, March 2nd, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm to discuss the possibility of a 4-Day School Week. The meeting is open for the public to attend, and will be held at the District Office (508 Jefferson Avenue Morrill, NE 69358). Thank you!

2026 Lion Cub Preschool and Morrill Elementary Butter Braid Fundraiser
Our Lion Cub PK and Morrill Elementary students will be doing a Butter Braid Fundraiser from February 23 to March 9, 2026. Orders can be placed online by using the QR code on the attached flyer or by using the following link: https://store.myfundraisingplace.com/dfdc4714-6899-42da-9464-9a21572a9b4d. If ordering online, please select the name of the student you are ordering from so they get credit for the order. All order forms, along with the money collected, will need to be returned to the elementary school by Monday, March 9th. The orders will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, March 31st at Morrill Elementary. Get them just before Easter!
The Top Sellers have the chance to earn some amazing prizes!! All proceeds earned from the fundraiser help support Family Engagement Activities, Den Days, Next Level Days, and multiple other fun student activities!! Please encourage your student(s) as they take on the challenge of selling and representing our school!! Your student(s) will be coming home with their butter braid packet today, and the attached flyers will have all of the details about our fundraiser. Thanks everyone for your support!!!

**REMINDER - Preschool will not have school on Feb. 25 & 26 due to Spring Home Visits that will be scheduled by the teacher.
Please remember that on both days mentioned above, there will be an early dismissal at 1:50 pm for KDG - 6th. Additionally, there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, February 27th for PK-6th. Thanks everyone!

Due to the current weather conditions, Morrill Public School will have a 2 hour late start. All grades, Pre-K to 12 will start at 10:00am. Buses will run accordingly.

Over the weekend there were some 4th and 5th grade Lions who joined other students at Sing Around Nebraska. Students spent Saturday learning new music, making new friends, and performing a concert.
A big thank you to Mrs. Stumpff for her dedication to our students. We are so proud of all of these Lions for participating! Great job!
