The Morrill Lions Cross Country Team joined us for morning meeting. They did an amazing job sharing why cross country is such a cool sport to participate in. Elementary Lions having been running during Run Lions Run in the morning. Maybe we have some future cross country stars in our building. Good luck to our high school runners this season!

Morrill Elementary School was excited to host a special surprise for one of our fantastic paraprofessionals. Mr. Jack Moles from the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association (NRCSA) presented a $1000 scholarship to Kayla Christensen on Wednesday morning. The scholarship is provided by NRCSA as a way to help alleviate the teacher shortage in rural schools and is specifically given to paraprofessionals who are working to complete a degree in education. Miss Kayla is an awesome part of our staff and we were happy to celebrate this special moment with her!
