Visit from Author Peg Sundberg & Western-Themed Dress-Up Day (Oct. 3rd) - We are excited to announce that on Tuesday, October 3rd, we will have the author Peg Sundberg visiting our Morrill students! Please take time to read the attached flyer to learn more about Peg and what her visit here in Morrill will entail.
We would love for students to come dressed in their best western gear in celebration of our guest! There will be order forms going home with students today and they will have the opportunity to purchase books written by this amazing author! On Friday, September 29th there will be a spaghetti feed at the Morrill Community Church as well as a raffle-please see the attached flyer for details. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Shop with a Cop for Morrill students. Thank you to the Morrill Community Church for supporting our school and students!!
~Thank You Ramona Fink w/ 4H Health Rocks~ A HUGE Shout out to Ramona Fink with 4H Health Rocks for taking the time to come and speak to our 5th and 6th graders about healthy living. Students made a positivity web, learned some calming techniques, and talked about peer pressure and trustworthiness. Her last day meeting with our 5th and 6th graders will be on Thursday, October 5th. Her lessons are fun and engaging and our students seem to enjoy their time with her!
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Sept. 26th and 28th from 3:00-7:00 pm. Both of those days, students will have an early dismissal at 1:50 pm. Also, there will be no school on Friday, Sept. 29th and students will be dismissed early on Monday, Oct. 2nd at 1:50 pm. **Please take note that Mrs. Muhr's 1st grade class and Mrs. Walker's 2nd grade class will have their Parent/Teacher Conferences on Sept. 25th and 27th from 3:30-6:00 pm.** Thank you!
Dental Screenings - Sept. 22nd / Our annual dental screenings will be taking place on Friday, Sept. 22nd. Please see the attached flyer for all details regarding the dental screenings. The consent forms to either receive or decline the fluoride and/or sealants will be coming home today with your student(s). Please return the consent forms back to the school by the morning of Friday, Sept. 22nd. Thank you!

Morrill Public Schools is pleased to announce the final payment on our Early Learning Center has been made as of today, 9/19/2023.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
On Friday, September 22, we are going to "Go Gold"! Wear gold or yellow to show support for children who are battling any kind of cancer.
We are also having Donations for Donuts! Bring a donation of 50¢ or more to get a treat. All donations will go to Team Ashytn, a local foundation that assists families affected by cancer.
We can't wait to see everyone Go Gold!

Homecoming Dress-Up Week - Sept. 11-15 / Please help your students join in the Homecoming festivities by encouraging them to dress up Sept. 11-15. The dress-up days can be found on the attached flyer. Thank you!

The elementary school will host a Legacy Lunch on Friday, September 8. We encourage each student to invite a special grown-up to eat with them. Please RSVP to the office by September 6.

Health Class - This year, the elementary has a health class that is being taught by our district nurse, Sierra Frickey. The attached flyer will give you some information on what is being taught and our goal is to post a flyer each week so families know what topic is being presented for that week.
